The Taper - welcome, hello, good to see you...

Apr1320101:47 p.m.

I did my last long run on Sunday - my longest ever, broke the physcological thresholds of 20 miles and running for three hours [only just but past them both all the same], yippee!!

I have therefore now officially started my taper - better late than never - and I'm really glad to welcome it on in; I think my body is more than ready to ease up a bit... I had a restful day yesterday with just a bit of swimming - I say swimming, it was more splashing about in the pool with the children! Today a gentle 5 miles before work...

Perhaps a bit more time to focus on the fundraising now, that too has lifted in recent days but still only just over a third of the way to the target - and to think when I began I thought £1500, that's only £10 from 150 people, how hard could that be - the answer obviously with hindsight is very hard!

Hope everyone's welcoming their taper as much as me, and that any niggles, aches and pains are beginning to recede in advance of the big day... best wishes to all...
