prep for the main event

Man flu gone. Managed to get out for a 9.5 mile run on Saturday which made me feel a lot better.
Hungover on Sunday and it was my wife's birthday so I canned my planned 30 mile cycle for the good of our marriage, especially after she'd let me go back to bed for an hour. Am getting too old for going to bed at 3 am.
Today Monday I managed a 7 mile run, including a 4 mile tempo, around beautiful sunny Black Park, near Uxbridge.
Have now signed up for a few prep events for the half iron man.
- Half marathon at Dorney Lake on 28th March. (http://www.humanrace.co.uk/more-info-on-lucozade-sport%3Cbr-%3Erace-your-pace%3Cbr-%3Ehalf-marathon-398.html)
- Thames Turbo Sprint tri at Hampton on April 5th. (http://www.thamesturbo.com/archives/48)
- Olympic Tri at Merchant Taylors school in Middlesex on 16th May. (http://www.triathlon-zone.com/events.html)
Will probably through in a few 10k races as well to get my pace up.
Need to start selling some of the kids toys so I can continue to fund my habit.
Mustn't tell wife how expensive this is getting, won't do something silly like post about it on internet.
