Ok so firstly i must apologise for being absent from the site for a good week or so, have had funerals, overtime at work and now a foot injury to contend with :o(

Needless to say training is on hold at the moment, not good and im not happy about this, ive really been enjoying my runs lately during the autumn season and its a bit of a blow to have to stop.

Not sure what i have done to my foot, but its painful on the side and tender when touched, swells like a balloon during the day so i dont want to risk running on it. Going to head to doctors next week if no better by then, been two weeks since i initially injured it :o( any advice??

Looks like my training is going to be rushed, something i didnt want to do. Feeling very down right now, was hoping to be well prepared for this marathon!

Hope all you other bloggers are doing well in your training, i will read your updates as i get chance.

Have a good weekend and hopefully it wont be long until i can get my new running shoes on :o)

    • Baileykalliboo 'Hi Graham, not sure exactly what ive done but when i went for new running shoes last week they looked at my current shoes and said they were far too small, both in length and width, so im wondering if it was my shoes that were too tight. Hoping its not a ligament injury, dont want to be off from running for too long :o( will be at doctors next week i think to see whats wrong!' added 9th Nov 2012

    • mollyfox 'Do you wear heels during the day. if you do maybe try flats, Elevate and ice your foot and take anti-inflamms to reduce the swelling but I would still go see the doctor. Don't wear your old running shoes again. You have still time to train and you will get there.' added 9th Nov 2012

    • Baileykalliboo 'Hi Mollyfox, no i dont wear heels, and the old running shoes have been demoted to dog walking shoes! ha. Dying to get my new shoes on and hit the streets again :o( really down at the moment about it because i feel like time is slipping away from me. Will try icing it etc, boyfriend is over for the weekend so he can nurse it. haha. Thanks for the positive words. xx ' added 9th Nov 2012
