St.Albans Half 12-06-11 DNS

Just back from Italy and recovering from a mother of a head cold. Hate those damm things. Attack of the green goo. Pain behind the eyes & ears, head throbbing when you bend over, chesty cough that won't clear etc....
Antibiotics prescribed from the doc (she said was bacterial infection of chest & head/sinus whatsits) and after 3 days i've definitely been on the mend. So much so i thought i'd be fine if i took it easy and wrapped up...
Arrive St.Albans with 30 mins to go. Main carpark full already so i'm directed to large nearby industrial work carpark. And it's raining. The one thing that would make me turn around. I gave it 10 mins then toddled off home pretty gutted. Last thing i wanna do however is go for a jog in the rain and catch myself another cold....
Rain wasn't forcast till 1300h. Where's the summer when ya need it huh?
