Exhausted, a little broken, but...

I did it.
I didn't just start the 2009 Chicago Marathon - I finished it too.
6.32, but given the injuries and lack of training, well happy.
Could have got around quicker, but did the knight in shining armour thing and walked the last 11.2 miles with a lovely Chicago lady who was struggling with a bad knee and was a bit devestated as she had missed her family at the 14 mile point.
Hopefully, we helped each other around the course!
Now for a nice long rest, and next year just 10ks and maybe a few halfs I reckon.
Yay!
