Mission to Morocco - MDS 2011 by Birdypie

It is very strange to find myself sitting at home on a Sunday morning watching TV sitting on the sofa! Ahhh the joys of taper time! This time next weekend I will be hopefully on day 3 of the Atlantic Coastal Marathon down in beautiful Cornwall. So today its rest and food - trying to get some carbs and protein in the system before what is going to be a very gruelling run.

Training has gone OK I think. I never quite got to the mileage level I'd hoped to but I'm still standing and enjoyed the summer. Next weekend is only the start of a fairly relentless few weeks with Beachy Head Marathon, 3 day Druid Challenge and the Brecon 45 all looming between now and the end of November. Gulp!

Currently I am completely surrounded by the Run to the Beat race which is taking place on the streets of Greenwich, Woolwich and Charlton. I do find it odd that anyone would pay to run round here but apparently the music is good on the run!

For me an afternoon of tea, cake and studying of the maps awaits....

I'll hopefully log in again when I get back from Cornwall - hopefully with the victory pasty in my hands!
