…a snowy dilema
Feb0520123:07 p.m.
To run or not to run, that is the question.
Is marathon training on, is it off, do I run outside, do I not??? This was my dilemma when my alarm starting beeping at 7 am this morning. I was having a really good sleep so getting up to check the ‘snowy’ conditions was a struggle in itself. Well my sense of adventure kicked in and I heard that some of my fellow joggers were also going to brave the weather so I got my kit on and off I went.
There were only a few of us crazy runners and it was a really enjoyable slipping and splashing around in the snow. We decided not to do the planned 16 miles and instead did 11.5 mile. It was a pretty slow run but sometimes it’s not all about how quick you go or what you think you should do but about getting out about and being part of the group. I ran with a great bunch today who I don't usually run with and had a great time! Just happy I didn’t miss training all together.
Looks like the snow is melting now…back to normal tomorrow. One of the best things about training for a marathon is that I can eat loads. – I have a massive appetite this week!!! Cake time, yummy!!!
