Back on Track (pun intended)

Dec11200910:16 p.m.

Ok so I had a bit of a blip and have been feeling a bit poorly but went to the track last night, did 8 x 400m with 100m recovery and felt really good! Well, my legs went to jelly and everything hurt afterwards, but just because I'd pushed myself to finish the session, not because I'd overdone it or injured anything.  Then today I went on the climbing wall at work, which was different. I can see it would be really good exercise, but, unfortunately, I'm very scared of heights.

Now this of listening to your body - well how do you know when it's telling the truth or if it is just being lazy? Well I think I've found a way to tell. My mum and I came up with the t-test. (nothing to do with statistical analysis for all you geeks out there.) Basically, if you're feeling bleurgh and don't know if you should run or not, have a cup of tea, and if you feel better after, get your trainers on before the effects wear off, and if you don't, rest and sleep instead.

The t-test! Think I should patent that...
