London and Paris 2010 - a tale of two challenges! by Chect

So this year's twist has come as a bit of a surprise!  Not content signing up for the London Marathon once again I've set myself and the Childhood Eye Cancer Trust a further challenge - completing the London to Paris Cycle in May . 

In order to maintain motivation (mine and yours fellow runner/cyclist) and sanity (ditto!) I intend to keep our CHECT blogs going.  What this means is that the usual CHECT marathon blogs will be spiced up with a bit of bike support too.  In an ideal world I would do two blogs for the runners and the cyclists but hey life's all about compromise so ...  The intention is to keep a diary of training the ups and downs and as before to throw in some hints and tips.  Being a bit of a cycling novice I will be looking around for sources of these to pass on.

I hope the dual nature of this blog serves as an interesting read and/or a source of support and comfort - you are not alone in whichever event you are taking part in for CHECT.  Feel free to chip in, add a comment or forward on to other parties.  This way we can raise the profile of the charity and your good work.
