Volcanic Ash takes my eye of Marathon Mania

Apr2120101:15 a.m.

I have been organising a weekend trip to North Carolina for two colleagues for this weekend (I would have gone too if it wasn't for the obvious) ... and I have to admit this week has been filled with frantic calls accross the pond etc .... no time for marathon mania for me!  Anyhow thank goodness it looks like they will get away tomorrow morning ... I will drop them off at Gatwick and then on to Expo for me CANT WAIT!

Sunday saw me run the second leg at the Hook Norton County Road Races.... 3 miles never felt so hard.  Met Onthefloor04, and saw him sprint off like a whippet whilst I waited for my turn.  His account of the day is much better and entertaiinng than I could ever write ... so take a look at his blog for more details!  I haven't seen the results yet and forgot to turn on the garmin immediately and forgot to turn it off at the end too!  It said I ran 3 miles in 23 minutes ... I was flat out all the way and flat on my back afterwards!

Yesterday ran a steady 6 miles with the girls from the club.... that might be it for training for me.  I did sneak to the gym on monday but didn't do alot.  Last night was the first time I had run without popping pills for about a month so body is obviously reacting +'vely to taper and once that flight has gone tomorrow I can get to expo and concentrate on Sunday.
