Early Run Today

Jan31201212:43 p.m.

Crikey - 3 posts in as many days!  Today I was determined to get a run in before work, as I'm not able to run with the club this evening.

Decided I would get to work & run from there as I know several routes nearby, although not having used work as a starting point before, wasn't sure quite how the mileage would work out.

Parked up (having noticed that the temp was only 3 degrees!) & realised that I didn't have my Garmin with me - fingers still crossed that I left it at home rather than losing it on the pavement or somewhere on the way to the car first thing Frown

How to measure my run?  Had the ingenious idea of using my MP3.  I've got one of the Runners World mixes on there which is a good length.  I only wanted to do about 5 miles, so if I started it when I began running, and noted the play time when I finished, I could then have a good idea of pace.

Set off and didn't think I was going that fast, but running according to how I was feeling.  Think I'm going to do that a bit more often, as when I got back and worked it out on an online pace calculator, turns out my pace was 9:49 min/miles (on the presumption that the times on the MP3 are correct)

Can feel the legs now, but then, I can go about the rest of the day knowing that whatever gets thrown at me, I've got my run in! Smile

Tomorrow, I'm planning to do my usual "Cyclefit" class at 7:00 am (like a spinning class, but apparently, Spinning is a brand name.... no, cycle spinning, not wool spinning, for those who thought about posting Laughing)
