Ahoy fellow runners

TISM - Thanks for that would have been great to meet Iwan, we were there from around 9.30, just behind the stage, but managed to miss each other, like you say maybe next time and definately the GER next year.

So have not been running since GER went to Doctors on Friday and have nothing to worry about just need to rest up.  Which means i miss the Stro
ud Half Marathon

Plenty on at work to keep me distracted a major event again next weekend, Called Pirates.

Pirates is going to be an amazing event, so looking forward to working that both days now. If it's one thing gloucester knows how to do well it is family orientated festivals. www.gloucester.gov.uk/pirates for more info (Be more up there on monday when ihave signed the programme off.) Put our very own Pirate ship will be sailing in on Thursday day then there will be some amazing battles on the water, first time it's been done in the UK.

Anyway sorry taking the forum over with work (I suppose at least i have a fun job - we were trying to source a talking parrot last week!)

Back is feeling a lot better today, and had day yesterday building buggy's and carrying things around for bumps room. So that's positive, being strong though and going to rest for all of next week at least.

I need to start doing some core training as this is something i hate and never do. Don't want to join a gym, but do have a weights bench, if anyone can reccommend something i could try to strengthen things when i get back into it, be appreciated.

Have a good sunday

  • TISM 'Planks, sit-ups, (get yourself a fit-ball - dirt cheap in Argos), ab crunches (with twists as well), russian twists (easiest with a medicine ball - again cheap at Argos, but can do with a dumb-bell), shoulder, chest and biceps on the weight bench. Then throw in some squats and lunges... should be a nice little session..... lol We have Pirates here, but i think they are an ice hockey team, or a speedway team or something similarly esoteric.....' added 20th Oct 2008
