Oh my god i've got a place!
Dec0420068:59 a.m.
Well this is my first post, came back from a great weekend away yesterday to an envelope on the doorstep which confirmed my ballot place in the London Marathon. The first thought was joy as this is the second year to apply for a place and this is something I have always wanted to do. The second thought was oh my god I have actually got a place, I need to sort training plans, start eating healthly again and decide on a charity and i better get out and get running.
I have been a regular runner for the 4 years but since a couple of 10K races in September my training has faded away due to work commitments abroad. So it is going to be a big challange ahead, firstly to get back to any kind of fitness before starting on improving my edurance. A 30 min run yesterday started things off, it's nice and easy when you have a 50 mile an hour wind behind you!
I will continue to post my progress here through the highs and lows and if anyones got any helpful training advice or suggestions for charitys I would love to here from you.
