Whopeee  21 sleeps to go, exactly 3 weeks today we leave South Africa for Paris...   last night my hubby and I went out to dinner with 3 of the ladies and their hubbys that are coming with me on our European marathon adventure, we were all chatting abour our trip we are so excited, we have already booked the Moulin Rouge show the night after the Paris race. Yesterday we had maps out plotting our journey across London for the expo, our SA flag vests arrive today so we are all set. We've got our tickets hotels are booked  visas are done money exchanged we are all set just counting down now.

I picked up the car yesterday all ok until half way home when all the instruments again went off and all the warning lights came on, I called the service desk and they told me to take it back today which I did again this morning....... hmmmm   !

Going to run just a 5 k today  to keep up my fitness, running the 50K this saturday, busy carbo loading.

All of our races that are in the summer start at 6am here, it's great as I can run a local 21k on a saturday mroning and be home around 9am so still have most of the day. It helps to start early as it's too hot to run later. With the 50k taking most of a morning it gets hot over the last 10 or so k's I guess thats why I battle at OmDieDam towards the end, hoping for cool weather saturday......
