Not much news
I went to the gym Wednesday and thursday last week although I got stuck in traffic Thursday with a chemical spill on the highway, I did manage to get there and run on the treadmill. Saturday morning I ran with Belinda at our running club as there were no official events on. She had already started when I got there so I spent half an hour trying to catch them, luckily Belinda and Gerard the walking captain were walking slower than their usual pace so I could catch them. We finished the 8k route then Belinda and I decided to do another lap and did the 8k again. I had brought along water so it went ok.
Sunday we went to visit some old friends in Johannesburg and had a braai (BBQ) it was very nice. Off to time trials tonight and then home again to pack my case as I'm off to the Microsoft partner summit in Durban tomorrow morning until Friday. The company I work for are hosting the Wednesday night function at Ushaka marine world. We have to attend sessions and workshops Thursday and friday at the exhibition centre onThursday night is a black tie gala awards evening. Got my posh evening gown ready.
C ya next week....

Springchick 'HI ELAINE I am so impressed with your running. I am slowly getting back to it - the knee is feeling better but I cannot believe how the fitness has deteriorated. ran 5 miles on Mon and Tues and this morn I struggled to run 3. Have to get up at be on the road at 6am as I have started working again. The commute on the train is really tiring - I forgot, not having worked in the city for almost 2 yrs. The job is in Mortlake to i get the train from Weybridge to Clapham then hop onto the Richmond line to Mortlake. Good friends have just last week opened a gastropub with Michelan(??) star chef Paul Merret - It is hectic but I am loving it - NO tennis during the week. From Sept I should be working 3 days a week. HOPE YOUR CONFERENCE WAS A SUCCESS - NICE TO GET AWAY AND WEAR A POSH FROCK!!! Take care Jacqui' added 6th Aug 2008
