Elaines -Comrades Ultra Marathon 2009 by Elainec

Hello,

The weather has warmed up nicely now.. reaching up to 30 degrees during the day.....  I jsut love the sun...  being up here in the north of SA we don't get the humidity the coastal regions get, so it is quite a dry heat which is bearable. Pool water temp is up to 20 degrees.

Big decision night tonight, the girls and I have discovered that Paris marathon is a week before London next year, since we are coming over for London anyway and had planned to fly out the week before we now want to do Paris as well. Belinda and I have decided we are going to do it, Maureen and Sam still to decide, they haven't got much time as a lady who has organised our FLM places will also do our Paris booking for us but she needs confirmation now....  we may never get the chance again to do two european marathons in one trip so what the hell....  You only live once....

Got to take Amy back to doc today...  hopefully she will be able to ditch the crutches, her elbows and wrists are sore from them, not to mention trying to carry a school bag...  luckily the poeple who drop her at school have been driving right into the school grounds, head teacher gave her a key for the lift as well, she had a chair to sit on through asembly and her friends have carried her bag for her....  Me I'd cream it...  but she just wants to get back to normal....

Just ran a 3k last night, wanted to do some hill training but got home too late, was tired from the busy weekend as well so just relaxed, feel strong again today, run at the club tonight......
