I think I'm ready for the 702 walk and talk on Sunday, heels feel ok I have got the zinc tape to strap them, In my early days of road running I had to tape my feet so I think I can cope with that, going to wear my trail shoes and trail socks.

Yesterday my division at work had a fun day, off we went to dirt Ryders in the bush. We were split into 5 teams, first event was Go-Kart riding 3 laps haven't done this since a kid, I think our go-Karts had peddles as well not an engine... bottled out on the bends braked too hard and ended up last in my heat ! next event was paintball, off we went in our overalls, head gear and gun...  I decided to play chicken and hid behing a big steel drum and shot at anyone and anything that came close, damn got shot in the finger and a big splodge of orange paint on my mask I couldn't see, then my gun jammed, one of our techies had it in bits but couldn't get it going, gave my ammo to my team and headed out of the bush gun in air still got shot on the wayout, some people don't listen to the rules. Got a big red circle on my index finger and it was swollen ice packed it then put on voltaren gel. Next up Archery, this I managed to do well and scored quite high getting my 5 arrows onto the target. Overall my team won and we were presented with a gold medal...  my first gold ever....  so I was chuffed, we finished the day off with a Braai (BBQ) with salads and rice. Played pool before we left and showed off evidence of my mis spent youth as I won both my games and put the guys to shame.  I wore my trail shoes the whole day and they were very comforatble never even bothered the healing blisters on my heels so I will wear them Sunday.
