Last Indoors workout.

Mar0420098:40 p.m.

So today was the last workout before provincial championships that will be held here in Sherbrooke, QC this week-end. I’ll be racing the 1500m on Friday and a 3000m on Saturday. I’m not expecting much but I’m still hoping to run some decent times just in order to boost my confidence before I start hammering the pavement this spring. As a tune-up for this coming meet  I ran 8x400m tonight @ around 2k pace and it felt pretty easy. The first rep in 62sec might have been a bit of mistake but feeling comfortable at that pace definitely says something about my fitness. All other quarters were a bit more controlled in 65sec. Althought the workout itself went pretty well it was kind of boring since I was by myslef at the University track. All my training partners are either on spring break or on a completely different training schedule since they’re getting ready for Canadian University championship. (Unfortunately I’m all done with college so my season will end early this year). So once I was done with the running, I rushed home, grabbed a nice glass of chocolate milk for recuperation and went to the hockey rink for 2 solid hours of hockey. I’m kinda tired now, but no big deal, tomorrow will be an easy day.
