I like running :-) by Flumptious

About

Just updating this (and changing the title). I have been running (slowly!) since the mid-nineties. Then, in 2005, I fell off my bicycle (*with* a helm...

A twenty minuter! :-)

Dec1720116:09 p.m.

I ran up the hill at lunchtime.  1.77 miles, in 20:38, so 11.63 minutes a mile. So, horribly slow. EmbarassedEmbarassedEmbarassed But hey, I've not had time for many runs lately, and that was my longest 'recovery' run. It felt fine. Smile

I am now seeing a new physio. I was rather frustrated with the one in Kingston, who I'd been seeing again and again for ages, but not getting any better. So I decided to try someone else, to see if they recommended the same stuff. Mel knows Rob through his triathlon club. She is based in New Malden, which is a short train journey from where I work. So, instead of a 15 minute walk into Kingston, I had 15 minutes to the station, then a 5 minute train ride, then 5 minutes to where she was. Then a whole hour for the first appointment. Surprised But, she was good. She thinks it's the tendon (which had never been mentioned before). So she's given me some new exercises, and made a few appointments with me. She said she wants to see me next Thursday. But I said no, I'll be at home with the kids that day, and my Mum and Dad are coming over. They live in Gretna, but they will be visiting my brother in London for Chrimbo. So, Mel said, well, I will actually be in your area during the afternoon. Do you want me to pop round to your house? Surprised

She has got me doing quad strengthening things, not just stretches. Pleeease let it work!
