*Nearly* a mile!
Nov1920112:27 p.m.
I've had a pretty busy week at work, so I haven't run since Monday.
I went to Mrs Physio again on Thursday, who gave me lots of pain, as usual, then lots of ultrasound. on her instructions, I am back to little short runs. 10 minutes, 11 minutes...
So, at lunchtime today I went out for an 11-minuter. Just on the residential roads round here (where you are fine on the road itself, and don't need the pavement). I managed nearly a mile, in nearly 11 minutes. Woo, eh? 0.97 miles, in 10:53, so 11.22 min/mile. Nothing to be proud of, but hey, at least it's a run! It was lovely to be out there. My bum is still playing up, and I can 'feel' it as I run, but it definitely doesn't make me want to stop running.
My heart rate was well over 220 once I got moving, and was close to 240 again for most of the first half, although it went lower in the second half. It's a good thing I don't pay any attention to my heart rate, really. Apparently my 'resting' heart rate (where I am before I start running) is 160.
