Ooh Ah, Just a little bit... Ooh Ah, A little bit more

Oct1120117:49 a.m.

Gina G, how on earth did you manage to start my entire new blogging journey? You are a very naughty and manipulative one hit wonder!

Ok so I've been back to running for about 2 months now, starting some random coastal runs while on holiday with my brother and then following them up with a proper 4 run-a week training program which I am loving - I'm not quite sure why but I am smashing personal bests left, right and centre!

Yesterday I ran 4 miles, admittedly I left the house thinking I was running 3 miles in the dusk then 500m down the road remembered that this was the first week of the 4 mile short runs which have all been 3miles up till now. Some mental calculations and a bit of looping and I'd added a further mile to my route and my legs were already raising some objections....

Because of the 10miler on Saturday and 90mins of football Sunday, my legs seem to think they deserve time off. They should know by now that Thursday is their rest day.

Still finished it in 24.11, a new PB by about a minute and only 11 secs of 8 minute miling. Someone should really warn Mo Farrah about my progress...

  • Freshharris 'Ok, so miscalculated, it was 32.11 - for 4 miles. Still that doesn't change anything, I bet I am better than Mo Farrah at scrabble... and lets face it, who wants to be good at running but weak on the vocabularic battlefield?' added 11th Oct 2011
