London Marathon Ballot and my all important physio session

May0420109:27 p.m.

With the ballot opening today, i made sure I got up early to get my registration in. Thankfully it went through and everything is ok. I'm still on a high from last week and signing up in the ballot has got me excited again about the marathon.

More importantly, today I had my phsyio session. Seb decided to do a completely new assesment of my body, so I was proded about, my lower limbs tested for strength, flexibilty and range of movement.

A week on from the marathon and I'm still having problems with my left knee. My body has started adapting to the problems I've had with my ankle, so biomechanically my left side of my body is not looking great.

Seb mostly done massage and stretched me out after he had completed his assesment. He emailed my programme which I'm now to follow. I'm not sure in future how many times I need to be going to see Seb and Simon. i'm currently receiving physio once a week, but with this new programme i'm thinking once every two weeks woud be better.

Looking at the programme he sent me a lot of it is stuff i've already been doing like the core strength work and the foam roller work. I'm now doing more foam roller work and a little bit of strength work with weights too.

I can't wait to try out my new programe.
