Update: (16/05/2009)

Having made a lifestyle choice, at almost 18 stone and being unable to run to the loo(!!), I applied for the FLM 2009. I got in and ran for SPARKS having lost over 4 and a half stone! Was a fantastic day, but my right calf went after 16 miles and I limped and hobbled the last 10 and over the finish line.

So I must carry on running to keep the weight off and better my PB's. Ballot entered for 2010, so fingers crossed. - got place with Children with Leukaemia!!

Still not built for speed, but am improving and keeping going. Many thanks for the support of my wonderful wife Debs, and my two little angels, Derry and Ellie.

PB's

Half Marathon - Bath March 2009 - 2:17:30

Marathon - London April 2009 - 5:33:15

A bit more smiley

Well after my dark mood from Friday, was pondering whether to do planned 9 yesterday or go for an 11?? In the end I adjusted my favoured 9.5 and turned it into a 10. And what a 10 it was, completed in sub 10 min/mile in 1:39:20, and felt awesome. Really pleased and a little more confident for 26th now. Many thanks to my fellow bloggers for their messages of support.

What a day yesterday was. On completing my run, Debs got me gardening!!!! I hate gardening, but got away with kust tidying up the front of the house. In the afternoon, went with friends to Bossa Nova in Worcester to see Ray Lewis from the Drifters perform. Excellent evening with plenty of carbs on board(!!!)

More gardening today (obviously have kicked a cat somewhere)  and have then got intimate with Mrs Pinot Grigio.

Will get some small runs in this week, before a final, can't believe I'm saying that, 8 on Sunday.

Whoop, nearly there, great run, take it easy on the old back with all that gardenening (this marathon game is a great excuse to get out of all sorts of household chores!)

As your official pace bitch on the 26th we will not be running that fast!! Well not until after the 26.2miles and then I we do a 4 minute mile to the nearest pub! Very good run, and glad to hear the mojo's back!
