Looking better

Jan3020112 p.m.

Last Thurdsay's run went well, did 5.1 miles in just over 51 minutes, so have been feeling confident going into todays lsr.

And it went ok, not brilliant, but ok none the less. Went out at about 6.15 and was planning to do between 10 and 12 depending on how I felt. Started strongly, maybe a little fast over the first 2 but it was feeling good. I had taken a drink with me and I was conscious not to overdo it, so I took walk breaks to take water on.

Started to feel it after about 7 and by 10 the foot was fairly uncomfortable, but i managed to do 10.7 miles, albeit at a pedestrian time of just over 2 hours, so good time on my feet.

Its set me up for the week nicely, with some speed and hill work culminating in a 16 next week!!

Catchya later. x

  • simonedumergue 'Good stuff Gaz - you are slowly and surely getting back into the swing of things. I'm sidelined with injury (STILL) and totally fed up, so feel grateful that you can at least run even if not quite at the pace or ease that you would like! Speed and hill work - yippeee!' added 2nd Feb 2011
