Must try harder

Dear me, no real motivation at the moment to get out running.  Although to be honest work and home life have been really hectic recently.  Most of the weekend was taken up with redecorating the top stairs - the sort where the walls just go up-and-up, so everything's about 20 feet out of reach.  And the weather seems to be a succession of dark days, rainy evenings etc etc. So plenty of excuses at the ready for not sticking to the training plan at the moment!

Tonight though I did manage to squeeze in another short trot before tea - another 21 minutes around the local streets, with a few walk breaks thrown in along the way.  That tight calf is feeling a tiny bit better, so shall just have to persist with it gently and see what happens.

Hope you've all finished your xmas shopping?  I seem to have cracked it - OH organising a major shopping trip to Meadowhall (huge shopping centre near Sheffield) on Saturday...and I'm not even invited.  Result!

Happy running everyone

Well done on getting out there. Life is fairly hectic at this time of year isn't it.

Don't book anything for Saturday Geoff. The missus will have something planned for you.

woman shops, man decorates - we're a simple species !
Finished shopping? - I've not started yet, the 24th is still way off !!

I've been to Meadowhall (Went to Polytechnic in Sheffield) and you're well advised ot steer clear.

I drove past it on a weekday recently and it was packed, so you can imagine what it will be like on a Saturday before Christmas ?

*Shudders*

We've got a hall like that too :-$

This weather just doesn't make for pleasant running at all, does it??!

Don't you know that decorating is a seriously bad idea for an injured athlete like yourself??

Like what Klebe said..... the 24th is still miles away! I haven't thought of Christmas yet!!

Ugh, just the thought of it makes me shudder. I think I'd rather decorate and I'm not really keen on that either. Sounds like good motivation for a run to me!

It's not easy fitting the running in at this time of year, especially when the weather is not inviting like it is in summer. Well done for managing to get that one run in though - it's better than none at all!
