Thinking about running...

Still no running
I mean...
... New trainers have arrived but will have to wait until next week for the re-vamped orthotics. Then it's a few weeks of building back up to a reasonable mileage before the serious (ha ha) 20 week training plan kicks in. However, even though I'm not running, it's amazing how much of my head space is taken up with thinking about running and reading about running and planning running...I wish I could transfer that energy actually into my body - particularly the little legs!
This afternoon I'm off to see a client who I've been seeing for a while who has had major foot surgery - and I mean spectacularly major. Quite a challenge to train someone who cannot put any weight on their feet, although that is improving all the time and she is a very fit and strong lady. And then this evening I'm teaching two Pilates classes. But before both of those events I need to do some more thinking about running...
I'll leave you with these few words spoken by Stephen Covey 'begin with the end in mind.' Oh gawd. 26.2 miles....

lou21 'OMG... did Kevin mention the C word?? It is thinking about the end that keeps me going... it is the middle bit that scares me rigid! Now training someone who can't weight bear, that's a challenge. When you analyse just how much weight is transferred through the structure of the foot it is rather mind blowing isn't it. xxx' added 27th Oct 2009
