Man flu...in a woman...?

Oct3020092:31 p.m.

I’m not good at being sick, and a few days ago I picked up a cold.  Breathing through my nose is not possible and I have severely reduced amounts of energy.  I have already skipped one training session this week, is this normal?  Or am I making excuses for missing training, and so early on in to the schedule!!

I frustrate myself you know.  I know I can do this, I want to do this.  I only have a cold!

That’s it.  Tonight when I get home from work I shall go for a short run, 3 miles maximum, just to get me back in the swing.  I’ve written it down now so everyone will know if I’ve not bothered, and potential humiliation has always been a great motivator!  Next week I am repeating this week’s schedule, definite bonus of doing a 26 week schedule in 32 weeks.

Must dash, another nose blow is required!

  • Hayleybelle 'Haha, quite right Graham. I don't know what real illness is! I didn't make it out tonight - predictably - I'm still feeling drained so am aiming for some kind of a run on Sunday and then hopefully I'll be back on form from Monday. By the way, a friend of mine training for the Brighton Marathon in April has turned vegetarian, have you heard this might help? ' added 30th Oct 2009
