Catching up time

Oct0120117:59 p.m.

Hi All,

How sad is this – its Saturday night and in my living room my husband is Dr Who-ing (after a day of rugby and cricket watching) and daughter is upstairs watching Strictly and X-Factor. I feel like I’m going potty! Undecided

Thought I’d come and have a look how everyone is doing. Big congrats to all of you who got into London for next year (teensy bit jealous, but will watch you all in my jim jams next year!)

Been slowly getting back into the running. After the trainer incident, I had a look at my shoes and it seems that I am just as tough on them too! Only bought them in May and I have already nearly walked the bottoms out of them (New shoes and brand new spanking new trainers arrived at the end of last week-chuffed!)

So, this week I have been running in the new trainers (love them new, fresh out of the box-they smell lovely! Not for long though I guess!) I can’t believe the difference. Its only when you change them that you realise how bad the old ones were! I have been running just to get back to it so I’m not speed training or overdoing it – just getting back into the rhythm (mind you, its far toooo hot to go fast at the mo – I’ve been trying to run in the shade it I can – what is going on with this weather this year?)

I have to say that since I got new "everyday" shoes as well, my ankles and feet feel a lot better. I must log that I have changed all my shoes now so that when I start whinging about aches and pains I can look back and see how long I’ve had them for.

Got our usual 10 miles lsr tomorrow with Mr H (if I can drag him away from the rugby for long enough!) Then he has promised me lunch out (brill – no cooking or washing up!).

Hope everyone has a good day tomorrow – good luck if you are racing and if you are just going for a run – enjoy it! This time next week it’ll be snowing! J
