Running in the sun! WoW!

Hey All,
Lovely run this morning – definitely not as cold and frosty as yesterday! Mr H and myself decided to do our 10 miles loop across the Old Severn Crossing (not even a whiff of wind on there today – couldn’t believe it!) Such a beautiful day – it was just like an early spring day. My only grouse was when we ran under the tunnel to start on the far end of the track, there were 3 little b…oys – who had climbed on top of the tunnel and then proceeded to shout and then (I can’t belive this) spit from the top at us. Furious was not the word and Mr H had to drag me away as I was intent on grabbing their bikes -–which they had left at the bottom of the track – and whanging them over the fence into the brambles! (it really got my back up-where are manners these days – and why would anyone think it was acceptable to spit at anyone?)
That said, Mr H had to coax me to calm down as I took off far too fast and he was wheezing behind me saying I would regret it later! The rest of the run was very uneventful – when we got back (1:21) Mr H then informed me that his back was hurting and could I sort him out later with the Ibuprofen gel (dear god, I swear he does it on purpose – just so I will rub cream in his back – I’m saying nothing!!!!)
So that’s another week in the bag – 28 miles this week (45 kms) bringing my total so far for this year to 90 kms and leaves me with a balance of just over 1921 to go! I may even get into a new century this week!
Hope everyone has had a good weekend and that your runs have been a bit less eventful ( and blood pressure raising) than this one!!
Happy Running J

Nick 'Kids, eh? Still maybe they inspired you to run a little bit faster! P.S. Monty is a Wheaten Terrier, we think. We can't be entirely sure as he came from the dog rescue centre, but we think that's what he is.' added 15th Jan 2012

Firefly123 'Ooh that would have made me sooo angry, Helen. If I'd have been there, I would have helped you throw the bikes over the fence. Well done with the long run anyway x' added 15th Jan 2012

Dungey 'Thats appalling behaviour from those kids. Worth mentioning it to local plod, not that they will do much but you never know if they might do it again to someone else. Well done on your run.' added 15th Jan 2012
