CONGRATULATIONS FLM FINISHERS!!!!!!

Congrats to all of you who ran on sunday.Sealed It was exciting to watch. CoolI can't believe it's been a year since I was there to run it myself. This year, I went for a nice easy 6 miler, then came home made some breakfast and a large cuppa joe, and sat on my couch to watch the 2 hour highlight show they had here. Fabulous it was. Wink I noticed they didn't have the National Championchip women start with the elite womens' early start this year. I'm not surprised if they changed that. However I do feel very lucky that I got to do it, and sorry for those women who didn't. I bet they've been stuck behind the GFA men or something pants like that! Foot in mouth How about that Mara! I thought she looked way better then Irina who was grimacing badly for many miles. I thought Mara was going to win at one point. so exciting. British women rock the marathon Wink

My own racing plans have gotten a little sidelined thanks to my left achilles tendon rearing it's ugly head again! All winter it's been fine, then I was due to race a 10K this past Sunday where I had an excellent chance of the female Masters win ( and $350 prize purse thank you very much) but sure enough out of the blue I'm hobbling around. I can't tell you how frustrating this is. I'm supposed to be racing this weekend too.

Anyhoo that's all that's going on with me. It has been a very long absense, but I am going to try to be back at the blogging, especially now i've just signed up for NEW YORK!!!!! YIPPEEE. The NY marathon is turning 40 this year, and as I also turned 40 this past Feb, I think it's just meant to be. Thankfully i have a few months before training need begin, so it's re-cov-er-y! Tongue out.

  • Dim 'Sorry to hear of the achilles problem Jeanette. Mara did a fantastic job. Unfortunately I was too slow to see her pass along the other side of the Highway but I did manage to watch the whole race when I returned home. New York sounds like it will be your race.' added 28th Apr 2009
