Looking ahead to London

Aug0920078:47 p.m.

It's early days, but the official entry mags are out, and it's time to start thinking ahead to London Marathon! I plan to run it, and am lucky enough to have a guaranteed entry. It will be my 13th marathon on the 13th day of the month, yikes! I hope that's going to be lucky for me. This year I have taken off from completing a marathon, it's usual for me to do one or two a year, but this year I wanted to concentrate on getting into my best fitness shape ever, in prep for a serious PB at London Marathon. This involves concentrating on speed work, short faster races, and leaning up! So far it's been a good year, with trimming off 5lbs, and increasing my speed, resulting in PB's in a bunch of races. My mileage is currently ticking over in the 50-60 range. Today was a day off. I will start logging my training as of tomorrow!
