Let's start at the very beginning

Well, it has been a long long time since I last blogged, and I did promise Harri I'd do an update. But seeing as I am back in the London Marathon gang, then I might as well get blogging again. Hopefully some familiar faces will crop up and hopefully some new ones!
I'll give you an update since the last time - which was May 2009...a lot has happened but I feel I am back to where I started again! After London 2009 I threw myself whole heartedly into the world of Triathlons...and completed 4 that summer, plus 2 open water swims. After that I decided to get my social life back, quickly squeezed in the Windsor Half, and then hung up my running shoes for the foreseeable future...but still doing 3 milers when i felt the urge. I then met a boy, who quickly became my boyfriend and for about 4 months the running I am sad to say took a serious back seat. Then the boy turned out to be a rotter and that all ended, I did the Bath Half and then another rotter quickly came onto the scene and here I am...single again and about to start training for another marathon!
I haven't actually been running for the last 4 months due to a walking related knee injury. I took part in trailwalker - the infamous 100km walk which was truely amazing...but left me with water on the knee...which has finally subsided. So I did my first run yesterday - treadmill, 30 mins with 6 x 1 minute intervals. The plan up to Xmas is to get myself running fit, training 3 - 4 times a week and to just be a tad bit faster.
So here goes...you'll here from me soon.

Hat 'Yay! You've obviously been very busy in the rotter department! Sounds like training and running a marathon is just what you need right now - so lots of luck (not that you'll need it) and I hope that knee behaves.x' added 9th Oct 2010
