8 miles, Sir Cliff and Merry Christmas!

Hello everyone,
Hee, I've been amused reading everyone's snow running antics!
It's too icy to run on the roads where I live so at the weekend I did my 8 mile run on the dreadmill. It was the first time I've done a long run inside. I haven't got an ipod so I plugged myself into the treadmill radio and kept my fingers crossed for some good running tunes! My run took me 96 mins (12 min/ mile) and I have honestly never listened to so many Christmas songs in such a short period of time!! I think if I hear Slade or Sir Cliff again I might spontaneously break into a quick jog!!!
Oh well, glad I achieved my 8 miles though. Back in September when I was over the moon to have completed one whole mile I'd have never believed that I'd achieve 8 miles by the end of the year.
Finally, a big thank you to everyone who's commented on my blog this year. I started it to help me keep track of my progress and never expected so much support and advice so thank you!

markinthepark 'Treadmill radio! Never heard of that before. Whatever happened to the original treadmills used to punish prisoners as a form of torture, oh the good old days. Mind you, Cliff Richard has a similar effect. Well done on your brilliant 2009 and Happy Christmas.
