Co..........ations!

Sep2920118:41 p.m.

Through the cellophane wrapper I could see both ends of the word, but I didn't need to open it to know what the hidden letters would spell, the enclosed red fleece was a giveaway.  So no VLM 2012 for me.

Probably just as well with the state I think I am in at the moment.  My ECG result was not good news and I am seeing a cardiologist tomorrow at the hospital for more tests.  I know I have a problem of some sort because of what they have said so far, they were close to having me admitted on Tuesday when they looked at the ECG.  But they are still confused about the no symptoms, no pain.  During the half marathon on Sunday I never had any chest pain just lack of energy.  Well I guess the tests tomorrow will show more, though they think I will probably need an angiogram for final confirmation of what has caused it.

I suppose the thing that has me most bemused is the speed of the problem showing.  I have run a lot of miles through September and looking at the Garmin stats for all of them they all show exactly what I would expect, high heart rate for the opening couple of miles and then down to a level and steady rate from then on.

Well done to all of you with those congratulations magazines.

  • Hat 'John, just been catching up with your blog - blimey...I hope you get some answers from the cardiologist and that this is just one of those strange things that happens once and not again...But obviously if your ECG results are not too good something is up. However, good to read that you're feeling okay and I hope you continue to do so and that the cardiologist can sort you out. Hang on in there. I'm sure you'll be back running very soon. Oh, and I got a red fleece too...but then I'm running Brighton. Take care!' added 29th Sep 2011
