Injury has struck

Jul1620088:05 p.m.

Well I've managed to injure my ankle.  I think it was down to the trainers.  I've rested it and I need to rest it more.  I went for some treatment yesterday and it seems a little better but can't run on it until at least Sunday, and even then only for a maximum of 10 minutes.

It really has happened at the wrong time as my training was going so well, but I've got to be patient and let it heal.

Needless to say the new trainers went back :o).

I hope that all my hard work doesn't get undone and I'll be back running round Southsea by the middle of August.

I'm just trying not to get too down about it, but it is just soooo annoying as I can't even manage a weights workout.

I hope everybody else is having more luck than me.  Take care all and have good runs.

If you're worried about fitness, would you perhaps be able to swim, or would that still aggravate the ankle? No matter what, you don't lose fitness that quickly, and there;s a long time until October, so try not to worry too much about it.' added 17th Jul 2008

  • AnneH 'That is tough neww. Do be patient and give your ankle time to heal otherwise it just goes on and on. You have loads of mileage in your legs and will be fine for October. Hope you feel better soon. Take care.' added 17th Jul 2008
