My first morning run
After giving blood last week and a further rest needed due to a stiff ankle, I headed out for my first ever morning training session. Didn't think I would risk a long run, so headed out for a 3 miler.
Felt good apart from feeling a little stiff, but was amazed that managed a PB (just over 36 minutes). Was a bit cross with myself as I knew I could have done more if only I had drunk more before I headed out, but it's all a learning curve.
At least the week has started off well and my ankle didn't hurt like it did last week. A friend of mine has suggested Glucosamine Sulphate as a supplement to help, so think will give this a try.
Back to the gym tomorrow for a weights workout and then more running.

pam_and_chris 'Well done on a great run! Good idea to keep the distance down after returning after a bit of rest. Hope the ankle calms down soon - I've heard glucosamine is good idea for longer distances, so sure it won't hurt!! Take care :-)' added 25th May 2008
