I can't believe that I've actually entered the Great South Run and more importantly believe that I can run all the way without stopping.
A year ago my gym visits had depleted to less than one a month and I was overweight and lacked enthusiasm. So after a lot and I mean a lot of sessions with a Personal Trainer at my local gym, I'm confidently running 6 miles and can see that I will have a further 4 in my legs come the 26th October. Although my running motto is longevity rather than speed.
My one big advantage is that the course is literally on my doorstep so I won't have to worry about getting up early on the big day :o)
