September Morn

Wow before we know it summer (well the way the Met office define it - I always thought it was September the 23rd) ) is over and we are now in Autumn. Which means two things - first that it cant be long till the VLM people let us all know if we are in next year or not and secondly cant be long before the running tights come out along with the hats, gloves etc. Hopefully have a few more weeks / months before we get that bad :-)
But before all that a brief summary of August - didnt quite manage to run every day but did run most of them and my longest streak at 25 days. In total scraped over 200 miles for the tenth time in total at 206 at an average pace of 7:46 and heart rate of 144 and enough calories to have 225 kit kats. So a good month I guess.
Today was intervals. 5 minutes warm up then 18 X 1 minute at around 6:30 with i minute reciovery each time.5 minutes recovery and thats 6 miles in 47 minutes. Good solid workou to start the month.
Great performance from Dai Greene in the athletics today and looking forward to seeing Mo run in the 5000 at the weekend - wonder if it will be a Seb Coe moment.
Hope all is well in your worlds

SeanG 'Some interesting stats there. Surprised you are not hitting 200 miles a month on a regular basis given the length of your weekly long runs. 225 kit kats = 23% body fat! :-( Are you sure that you don't sleep walk/eat?' added 2nd Sep 2011
