Easy like sunday morning :)

Oct2520093:18 p.m.

Hello everyone,

you all been training hard today? unfortunately i had to have a rest day even though i wanted to go for a it longer run. but when i got up this morning my calves were very stiff and painful and i just couldnt manage it and iv been training nonstop since last monday so thought id have a day off.

been doing a bit more of the xmas shopping, not many more pressises to get now. then when i got home alex made me a very yummy scrummy and very naughty bacon sandwich and my bestest buddy jodie came over for a chinwag, which was nice cos iv not seen her for a couple of weeks and we had some major gossiping to do :)

then iv been cooking up a storm, somebody gave me a bagful of apples last week so iv made apple crumble for pudding after my sunday lunch, then i made apple chutney, which was yummy scrummy and then i made millionaires shortbread and choc chip cookies for the boyfriend to take in his packup next week. He needs fattening up.. he's much thinner than me :D

still got loads of apples left so gonna make some more chutney tomorrow in preperation for some hampers that im making for some people's christmas pressies.

Was talking to someone in the shop i was in earlier and she said she once applied for the marathon and went steaming into the training only to hurt her back a few weeks in and cant run at all now and has to have all these funny injections. It reminded me that i need to have a few more rest days and need to stop trying to go mega fast straight away cos ill only hurt myself.

On the good side, no knee pain after this weekends runs, just very stiff and sore calves, so i think im gettin somewhere :)

Glad to hear the knee is feeling better. Are you stretching your calves out at the end of your runs? That should help with the stiffness.' added 25th Oct 2009
