Soggy ninja hippopotamus burgler run :D
oh yes, another strange blog title that makes you wonder where my sanity has wandered off too.
well the weather has been wonderful today - whilst i was sat in my basement office that is and i swear as soon as i got a mile from my house, it started to rain!!! how rude!! so got quite soggy on my run today - but took great pleasure in the rain as it means i had chance to train in different conditions. after all we don't know what we're going to get on the day do we? :D
secondly the ninja hippopotamus made an appearance as i had my running tights on but my IBS is bloating me up like a balloon at the moment, so i look even more horrendous than usual in them :D
and lastly the burgler look. im currently trying to decide on an outfit for the race and i really like running in my stripy tshirt and it makes me look a little bit like a burgler or maybe a pirate. hey ho - maybe people will think im in fancy dress after all.
Managed to run 8.5 miles tonight, rather than my usual 4 to the pub and managed it in 1.31 which im pretty chuffed with. the 2 seperate runs that i combined usual take 1hr-ish and 38mins-ish so the two together coming out at 1.31 is great in my books :D
gammy ankle was making its presence felt all the way round but i dont think it slowed me down and it feels ok now. just a bit achey but no running tomorrow so it should be ok.
left the pub to find alex has bought a new car - oh joy!! becuase apparantly 3 cars is not enough for 1 person. the neighbours are going to start thinking im seeing a different bloke every night at this rate!!!
so now added to the collection we have a very noisy and smelly ford escort mk 1, with very silly bucket seats and racing seatbelts which mean i cant move once iv strapped myself in. Think il stick to my reliable little yaris - myrtle the supercar!! :D
Eric update, he's been attacking a dead mouse and a frog today - lovely, but when he looks at you like this its hard to be mad at him:

university tomorrow morning - really need to go as im struggling with the nxt assignment. its hurting my brain. ooh and dont know if i mentioned it on my last blog but got my mark back for my first assignment - 73%, not the best mark and 12% below a distinction but not bad considering everything iv got on my plate at the moment :D
right best go and help alex with the fajitas or he'll be moaning at me
happy running everyone and apologies for putting everyone off cornish pasties in my last post. im not a big fan of them myself but wil be more considerate in likening my body parts to popular foodstuffs in future. :D he he!!
k xx

ChrisBrad 'Phew, for a minute I thought you was suggesting that you would run in a baklava, ooops sorry balaclava (first ones that delish greek cake - gotta be food or run in these blogposts etc) - I would never recognise you if you did. Little Eric (he's grown!!!) still very cute and true terrier by the sounds of it. Enjoy the fajitas :)' added 19th Mar 2010

Account_closed 'This sounds like the post of a person on the brink of Marathon-itus !! I recommend one 26.2 mile run on April 25th followed by complete rest. BTW, Eric looks like he could live up to the age of 20 (ish) !!! Just thought I'd share that with you >:-)' added 19th Mar 2010

squa25 'Eric is so so adorable! As for the burglar outfit, I can so picture you running as burglar bill ( from the kids' books or is that showing my age?) you just need to add a little eye piece and a bag of swag. And it'll be perfect. If you go down the pirate route you'll have more to carry - a sword, a hat, a hook hand, a parrot on your shoulder... That'll cause a lot of drag!! :0). Esp the parrot. Could get annoying particularly if it keeps askin 'are we there yet?!'' added 19th Mar 2010

moose10 'great piccy looks as if butter wouldn't melt great sounding run and please look after the ankle the only bit of fashion advice i could give you is no matter what you decide to wear get your name printed on your top. you wouldn't believe how much of a buzz and lift it is to have your name shouted by the crowds on the day' added 20th Mar 2010

Well done on improving your time on your combined 8.5 miles that is excellent! doesn't it feel great when you achieve a faster time on a run,so you should be chuffed!
