Scent of a woman
So, I heard yesterday that to bag a bloke, single ladies need to be doused in Chanel number 5, as it's been hailed the scent that's most attractive to men, well, according to a new survey. And this perfume's pulling power is bolstered by the stat that one in ten women who wear the Chanel fragrance even claim they met the man of their dreams when smelling of the feminine scent. The other popular perfumes that will turn us ladies into irresistible honey pots include, Be Delicious by DKNY, Ghost, Eternity for Women by Calvin Klein and Hugo Woman.
The cynic in me smells something a little less sweet, after all the study was carried out by Superdrug. And the timing is perfect, women will be buying vat loads in prep for the party season compared to most blokes who, let's face it, don't think about gifts until about 3pm on Christmas Eve, believe me I know. I used to work on a perfume counter and around chucking out time you'd get a crop of inebriated blokes rolling to get their loved ones generally slurring 'I need a perfume for the wife - what's your favourite?' Excellent really, it was my opportunity to flog them a bottle of the expensive stuff. Yeah, bad I know, but believe me this is the only time I entice intoxicated men to part with their cash [said as nose grows].
But considering Channel's ad runs for over two minutes, stars Nicole Kidman and was directed by Baz Luhrmann(writer of Moulin Rouge), I reckon they are the last perfume house that need our pennies! I have embedded it below, but be warned, you might want to buy a bucketful after you watch it - so you have something to puke in that is...it's pretty nauseating.

Lazy_Boy 'Its funny how the scent with most pulling power also happens to be one of the most expensive. I think Coco is a better anyway although its also an arm and leg job. Johnf 'Whilst trying to extract gift ideas from my girls, and this has been confirmed by the girls in this office, one of the least favourite is White Musk from Body Shop. Apparently you all bought it for each other at school. Funny but I can't say I can even tell you what it smells like! I wore Blasé and Exclamation at school but secretly yearned for White Musk - it was what all the popular girls wore.
