A Real-buzzing weekend... is on the cards again :)
HERE'S A LITTLE REMINDER
High Legh Robbert Moffat 10K Memorial
Sunday 11th April 2010 @ 11am
THE ROUTE:
We start Here at High Legh Primary school on Wrenshot Lane:

Now we do a loop around the houses and enjoy the cheers from local residents
.
Right onto Pheasant Walk:

We quickly meet a short hill after that bend in the distance (this was the original finish but now this is out of the way early on
. I'd say it's around 100 metres if that, not got a photo sorry... a hills a hill right?
Now take a right onto Robbert Moffat (It is his Memorial after all!). Enjoy a nice downhill bit on RM too, stretch your legs out

Bear right onto Egerton...

Now a left back onto Pheasant and at the end take a right here ...

And re-join Wrenshot Lane and out to enjoy some countryside...

Pass a nice pond on the right, and take note of the 'private do not enter' sign...

Road forks with Broadoak Lane, keep right on Wrenshot Lane, around the 1 mile mark now...

Pass a nice farmhouse on the left - (You'll hear the dog barking at you so be prepared to sprint if it get's out!)...

You may see some nice horses grazing
Is this a bit too detailed LOL?

You may also see some lucky folk enjoying a game of golf ...

So plenty to enjoy and then you'll reach the A50. Narrow pavement here as we enter Mere. Very brief stretch...

pass Mere Court Hotel...

And then take a left onto Bowden View Lane... around the 2 mile mark!

I prefer rear photos at my age, and I always cover my behind whatever the weather!
At the top of Bowden View Lane take the immediate left onto Hulseheath Lane...

Pass Simon's lovely thatch cottage on your left...

Left onto Chapel Lane, around the 3 mile mark here (Wonky sign!)... Water at the 5K & 8K mark!
Guess what car I drive LOL?!

Continue along Chapel Lane...

If you're totally whacked - you may get offered a ride...

Take a right onto Back Lane 3.5 miles ish (don't quote me on miles - they're guesses and not confirmed by Garmin!)

Continue along Back Lane..

Left onto Thowler Lane, can you see pigs?

Bear left for Agden - approx 4 mile mark...

Over the Motorway Bridge...

Continue onto Agden Park Lane leadng up to the A56, at the top keep left (Marshalls will be pointing and watering you here), around the 5 mile mark now... use Bridal path...

From the footpath keep left on your way home towards High Legh (High Legh Road - becomes West Lane)...

Last stretch home now, little incline thrown in!

You'll pass Kay Lane on your right, this is approaching 5.5 miles so time to dig deep!
Just over the Motorway Bridge now, then round a left hand bend and then a left here...

NOW LEG IT HOME BACK TO THE SCHOOL!!
Hope you enjoyed your virtual tour and are looking forward to it?

Johnf 'You know how your mind wanders when you run, well I thought of you last night when I was out on a run, and we both have something in common when we're running, I always cover my behind whatever the weather!! It made me chuckle as I was running, till I got to the next hill!' added 4th Feb 2010
