From the Shop

Feb12201011:48 a.m.

It's all about High Legh 10K voted No1 in the Country by Runners World readers ...

Wednesday I did a nice 6 miler with RB's Amber & Rachael (Amber is hoping for around the hour on the day and Rach is hoping for around 56, we are very similar so I will be really keen to see what time she finishes).

Also out with us were Lynsey (Carolines Sister) and Caz's other good friend Dawn. They will prob's run about 1hr 5. There are a few more, Jim will prob's aim for the hour. Russell Fryer (Prob's 50-55mins) another very very close friend of Caroline's, is heading down after a stag weekend in London - honestly! He is leaving around 5am, probably worse for wear too but he wouldn't miss this one for the world, he knew how much Caz wanted him to be at HL and she tried hard to get him there the last two years. So we will all be sporting tee-shirts in Carolines memory, which we will do year on year at HL and GMR - she will be with me every step of the way! Mine can cover my butt, that'd make her laugh ...

Nice 5K this morning with Amber and Rach again, Rach was holding back!

Hopefully you have received this agenda by email from Nick today but if not I'll post the link here

http://www.highlegh.org/race/news8.htm

Regarding the directions from High Legh to the Ishta, please follow up to turning right on Market street and hopefully you can park here outside the Town Hall a little further up on you right hand side.

There is also a multi-storey, simply take the first left off Market Street onto High Street and you'll see it opposite M & S. However, you should easily find free off road parking....

Hope you are looking forward to the No1 rated High Legh 10K as voted by Runners World readers, a lot of it's popularity is down to YOU the realbuzzers, huge thanks on behalf Nick and myself, we can't tell you how thrilled we are! You brought the buzz last year, hope you are all ready to up your game and bring that buzzzzzz right back this year, can't wait!!! Laughing

Those staying at the Premier Inn on Saturday, what time are you landing? will pop round for a coffee and catch upLaughing!

What time are you all arriving for coffee on the day?, word has it Martin H is going to stock up on fried eggs and bacon to taint his performance (Not to be missed). He has promised to donate to Hannah's SOS just giving page http://www.justgiving.com/hskearsley  £1.00 for every 30 seconds he goes over his PB of 46 minutes! What a star! Thanks to all who have sponsored Hannah so far you are very generous and we really do appreciate it massively for this fantastic cause.

Good came from me swopping to Last Runner Marshal it seems, as my friend Claire from Aerobics http://www.justgiving.com/Claire-Ramsden and my Neighbour Julie http://www.justgiving.com/juliemallam have both also agreed to run for SOS - with just a little persuasion Wink but they are very excited now, and Julie has bought new trainers, not one pair but two!

Enjoy the training, have a fab valentines weekend and see you very soooon xxxxx

You will have to run it as a proper racer one day just to show us all how really really good you are!' added 12th Feb 2010

  • kizzi10000 'Getting a bit excited now - especially as I've booked the car and can pay for the hotel lol. Have no idea what time I will get there. Have to get a taxi to town (20mins), pick the car up and get back. Pick the dog and luggage up, drive BACK up for basingstoke to throw the kids and dog out, before hot footing it up to you. Could text you when I get there (if you pm me your number), so we can see if a general time has been sorted?' added 12th Feb 2010
