J'aime Udaipur!

The other is called Jagaminder Island complete with a palace. We took a boat trip over to the latter, and got there just in time before a downpour began in earnest which lasted for 1hr and a half. Haven't seen rain like that in a long time! It is the end of the monsoon season here, so its to be expected. Thought we might get stranded, but all was well although boat had about a foot of water in the bottom!
The Lake is so swish that parts of Octopussy were filmed here (a retro Bond film, what were you thinking of?)
There's also a few ghats around (places where people wash clothes and bathe) which are pretty interesting to see.
The people here are a lot more laid back and we haven't had as many people starting and following us around as in other places. good news!
We are off to Jodphur tomorrow, then Pushkar where we're hoping to go on a camel safari and then last, but certainly not least, onto Agra to see the Taj Mahal at sunrise!
Until next time :)
