Wheel of fortune......

May0620109:41 p.m.

Well what a bad week for me with my football fan hat on. Another woeful performance at Blackburn for the Gunners. The season can't end soon enough. Arsene Wenger has some serious work to do this summer. World Cup scouting mission to find the 5 or so signings that the club needs to really compete with the big boys. As if that's not bad enough, my old rivals Spurs beat my boyhood team Man City to claim the 4th Champions League place. Part of me, with my pundit's hat on, thinks that's the best result.

Man City will get there soon enough. In fact they will win the Premier League soon enough. They have so much money it's like an unstoppable train. So from Tottenham’s point of view, I feel that this was their time. I wish them well. I really do. Honest. And to cap off a week of footballing headaches for an ex-Arsenal, City fan, Man Utd couldn't possible nick the title could they? Surely no last day Chelsea wobbles? I couldn't bear it.

As for cycling, 95km on Monday. Big 15 man/woman peloton. Surrey Hills. Hailstones. Yep. Hailstones. The sooner we all relocate to California the better. Talking of which, yesterday I got invited to ride the last leg of the Tour of California race in LA! Special invite of only 100 riders. We ride the 25-mile course just before the pros like Lance and all do their stuff. To say I'm thrilled is a joke. I'm so excited I can hardly type!! Got to go and train just in case Team Radioshack are a man short for the team trial. Come on Armstrong!
