Coming out from under my rock...

Hello there! It's been ages!
Thought it was about time I showed my face on the blogs once again. It seems every year I get sidetracked by life for a few months post-marathon and don't get a chance to come on here and update!
So, welcome to my newly updated blog! If you've read my new introduction you'll see that this year I've opted to drop down in distance and stick to my new love - trail running. I found all that hill and trail running in preparation for the Great Wall last year so lovely that I've signed up for more! No seriously - I much prefer a quiet, rugged trail race to crowded road running. So I've signed up for a series of races along different parts of the UK coast. I ran one of them last year and loved it, so hopefully doing the whole series will be a blast. Race one is a little under 3 weeks away - 7th November in Dorset.
For anyone who was reading before - I'm now all settled in to my new home (a cute little two bedroom terraced cottage, lots more room for the crazy moggies to chase one another around in!) and the new job is going well. I'm really enjoying focusing on cats every day and slowly working towards some further qualifications. Things are still great with my lovely bloke and I just use the fact that he's living in Sussex now as a reason to head south and get in some awesome running on the South Downs as often as possible!
All in all - life is pretty good!! Hope you can all say the same! xx

Account_closed 'Ooooooh ! I wish I could have afforded to do all seven. I've entered the 4X4 challenge, (Gower, Portland, Pembroke and Cornwall) and did Exmoor last year. However, I may have to give Pembroke a miss due to the current squeeze on finances. They are great races to do, aren't they ? Incidentally if you like Trail runs and live near the South Downs, why not check out the South Downs Marathon in June ? Run by 2:09 events it a tough, excellently organised race, that I nearly managed to come last in this year.' added 20th Oct 2009
