I seem to get so distracted with being busy and the children that I cannot seem to get around to updating the blog.
Any how, last week before taper for next weekends GNR. Ran a 10 mile long run yesterday in 1hr 28 (plus the little bits) felt really good especially as I really did not want to go out. Tried to run as fast as I could uphills and jog quite relaxed down hills. Thoroughly enjoyed it. My legs are a whole lot stronger after working out on the bike in the gym. On the whole really pleased and feeling much more confident.
Heard on Tuesday that I have been offered a charity place for FLM 2008 with British Forces Foundation. (A charity that means a lot to me as my twin sister serves in the RAF and has recently returned from iraq). So I have booked a hotel near to Greenwich for the weekend on the marathon. (figured these will sell out pretty soon as more people hear) I have still applied through the ballot so will see what happens, but either way it looks as though I am in! yippee! spent most of my time last week searching for training plans. downloaded one of Hal Higdon's website. My long training runs for the edinburgh marathon marathon reached only 17 miles. I am really determined to get to nearer 20 mile mark for my long run this time around. Partly as i figure that this one will be more difficult. Very exciting tho. can't quite get my head around it yet.
Training starts for FLM2008 week beginning 8th october.
