taper....rest....taper....rest...

Why is it I look foward to a race partly because of the event itself but also partly due to the taper week....ie no exercise at all. Why is it then that all this week I have felt guilty and dying to get out for a good run. Everytime i drive by someone sweating, puffing and panting, I think to myself. I should be doing that.
My blimming mind is playing serious scrabble.
Running the Great Eastern Run on Sunday - ½ marathon in Peterborough. Very much looking forward to it. will probably continue training until next Thursday now.
Is anyone else getting quite sluggish with the weather. I am kind of dreading pounding the streets in the cold and dark. clocks go back in 2 weeks. boo hoo.

SimonG_1 'Good luck with the run. My aunt was trying to get me to do that but thought 13 miles was a bot out of my reach though. Best of luck' added 11th Oct 2007

Cassy 'Good luck with the half. Don't mind running in cold and wet but dark is another matter - as yet haven't experienced it but really not looking forward to it..' added 11th Oct 2007

Baywatch 'Being cooped up in an office between 55 and 75 hours a week - and on top of that stuck on trains for over 10 hours a week, I don't care how dark it is I'm just looking forward to fresh air and space! Best of luck at the weekend, Lesley.' added 12th Oct 2007
