Weight Loss And The Accelerator Effect
Apr15200911:51 p.m.
While running last Wednesday a thought popped into my head, and it’s been rattling round my skull ever since.
The thought was – what would it be like for me to run if I just weighed 11 stone?
I’m starting to think about really shedding my excess pounds. I’m currently 12 ½ stone and I think my “official” ideal weight is 11 stone. I’m sure that’s correct (it was a long time ago I last checked). That means I need to loose a stone and a half. I bet running would be easier and I could run quicker without that stone and a half, couldn’t I? Have any of you experienced the “accelerator effect” of losing weight?
The lowest I’ve can ever remember weighing was about three years ago, I managed to get down to 11 ½ stone, and was just starting to look gaunt. Then I think something like Christmas got in the way, and I’ve not been the same since.
The weather looks iffy for tomorrow’s run with the local running club but I’m half tempted to run regardless, but the other half wants to stay dry and warm. We’ll see what tomorrow brings. I’m still concerned about the arch of my right foot. It’s still aching a bit. Maybe it’s that extra stone and half I’m carrying? I hope it is ok for tomorrow’s run, if I go.
No running today but I did manage 30 minutes (or 1 episode of Sex and the City) at 6.30 am this morning.
PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT TIP OF THE DAY:
If you want to feel brave / confident or happy, but are not. ACT AS IF you are brave / confident or happy – and guess what – you will be!

kizzi10000 'Just been reading the last few blogs - sounds a lovely stay in London,a nd 6lbs is very easily done lol. Running with less weight is a fantastic feeling. i can't beleive I still 'ran' when I was 4.5 stone heavier. And I think I'm slow now! Stick at it and you will do it no problem, though you maye have to be careful with the champers. Also feeling very left out with London so close, but at least we have bigger things on our minds :)' added 21st Apr 2009
