Take Two

Living with the girls and living without the girls.
Torie and Jodie left for Asia two weeks ago, leaving me to re-define this city on my own terms; no longer supported by the urban family, almost a stranger in a new city all over again.
Don't get me wrong, I'm hardly Billy No Mates, I have friends here- I'm just not part of the Torie and Jodie series anymore. A bit like a pop star that leaves the girl band hoping their voice is strong enough to make it as a solo artist.
And I certainly miss them and their banter but not in a homesick way- in a way that makes me chuckle when I remember what we got up to whilst they were around.
So part two begins here.
That flat I wrote about 2 blogs ago never came through. They were asking a little too much for a pigeon hole. I pulled out last minute rendering myself homeless but thankfully saved by the offer to stay at Stokesy's until I sorted myself out.
I also started a new reception job at a very interesting management company in the city who own my favourite property in Sydney- The Queen Victoria Building.
Probably my favourite because it has a history that precedes the 1980's. Also because there is a talking statue of Queen Victoria's dog called Isla- which happens to be my sister's name and I can't help but laugh that they gave the dog a man's voice.
I move into a flat in Bondi Junction on the weekend- sharing with two girls that I found on the internet.
Sydney Part Two also coincides with the onset of spring and ultimately summer which has been long awaited after enduring both a European and an Australian winter.
